Mototrbo XPR DMR Radio - Region Not Supported

Mototrbo XPR7550 UHF DMR Radio Unit - Programming Issues

Just got the unit in. The others are fine. I'm not a guru on Mototrbo units but need to get past the error codes. Any suggestions from programmers who know these codes, please comment below. I have tried 12.1 and 13.5. 12.5 says "Codeplug Not Supported and 13.5 says "Region Not Supported".

Region Not Supported
Ok so region not supported means that the radio is from a different location than the US (assuming that you are trying to program the radio with the US version). Either the radio isn't the US version (Likely) or the CPS isn't. There might be a fix for this send me a message.

Region Not Supported
CPS version from another region to the transceiver, radio is from a different location than the US

I checked and Radio Reference forums said it may have been programmed with a Non-US version of Mototrbo CPS, possibly EMEA.

  2. Motorola has 3 key areas of CPS software what is the model number of the radio? does it say XPR on the back or DP? there is no way to tell from the version of the firmware as it lacks that info, if you might have a US version radio but Asian or Euro version CPS.

  3. I have a US (AA) XPR3300 and I have EMEA CPS, v14.0 and 12.0 CPS, is there a region hack for those, I simply need to reprogram freq to a batch of them and change them around based on specific use.
